Some limitations or flaws that our survey might have are that people won’t take it seriously or will lie about their responses. Sometimes most people are afraid or embarrassed to admit that they’ve been laugh at or they’ve been called out on their body, people are afraid to admit they’ve body shamed someone on their image. But what they don’t know is that what other people see or label you doesn't define who you are because that's their body, their life, their choices. Those who judge them haven't walked in their shoes to realize that no matter how you look, every person is special in their own way of being and it’s ALWAYS okay to speak up for yourself or talk to a trusted adult.
Our collaboration is going pretty well so far. We are having trouble trying to find something deeper and less easy to answer in one article. We have found that not only women get targeted from body shaming ,but also men do. Although, women are more affected from body shaming. Men are insecure in their muscles and body shape. It's hard to stick to a question that is not known about and that everyone has heard about. Our mentors have told us that we are on the right track about topic of Body Image/Shaming. We hope to find more information about how guys are affected and how women are affected and compare and contrast the statistics. We also hope to find some good evidence including how women and men are affected at a young age about how their body looks. Our topic has changed from it only being about women to it changing about including men and women. We are hoping to find more information about how stereotypes can pressure people to feel like they need to be a certain shape. We also hope to find how Body Image can be a positive thing in someone's mind. Overall I think we are on the right path and we need to dig a little deeper and find out something that isn't what people expect.
